Happy, Happy in Mexico

I don't know how many times I can say this - it almost feels like I am gloating, but I LOVE MY JOB!!! This past week, we has our annual sales meeting in Playa Del Carmen Mexico at The Royal Playa del Carmen. I was able to extend the trip by a few days to celebrate my second 29th birthday and Our 5th Wedding Anniversary. It was such a fun trip and just what I needed to get my head back in the game for the busy ski season ahead.

Right Outside the door of the hotel, you could walk down this charming pedestrian shopping mall - not as pushy as shops in Cancun and a lovely atmosphere.

We took a day and rented a car and drove out to Tulum, a beautiful Mayan ruin that sat right on the ocean. It is hard to believe it is still standing after all of these years of hurricanes. There was a great beach with nice waves for body surfing.

After our visit to Tulum, we found this excellent beach side restaurant with authentic Mexican food - it is funny how difficult it is to find a burrito in Mexico! Most of the food at the resort, while good, was very Americanized.

On our anniversary, we took a day to go scuba diving in Cozumel. It was beautiful! We took this ferry over - the waters between Playa and Cozumel were very rough and about 30% of the people on the boat were throwing up - not very pleasant. But the diving was excellent. I would not suggest the outfitter that we used as their gear was old and a bit tattered and the service was not the best. We saw a 7 foot nurse shark and great fish - much better here than in Cancun!

All in all, a great trip and a spectacular way to spend such landmark occasions in our lives together. Here's to the next 30 years in life and love!

I am SO glad that you love your job! May you always be as happy! It looks and sounds like you had a great trip. Can't wait to see the rest of your pictures. I too love my job, but it is time to go home and cook dinner!
