Catching up!

Sorry about the lack of Blog - it has been a very busy 8 weeks. I have been to:
Panama City Beach, FL
Reno, NV & Tahoe area
Baltimore
Stanley, ID
Reno again
Summit County, CO
Park City, UT
I think I have been home for a total of 10 days in between! Colin is not quite sure what I look like anymore, but he seems to be doing well with all of this. To sum it all up, I am loving my job and enjoying the travel - learning new places and seeing how other businesses are run. I am still in Park City and get home on Friday - I will be home for almost 2 months!!! I am ecstatic about that.

Now for more detail:
Week one: I spent in PCB learning a ton and brainstorming about my business plan for the next year. Woke up at 5:30 every morning to run on the beautiful beach below and splurged on fresh seafood - even oyster's. Got to see Sandestin finally. Sandestin is owned by Intrawest, my former employer and I have always wanted to see it - it was beautiful and I plan on returning!
Week two - Home to figure out how to work from home... also set up appointments for the next week.
Week three - 5 full days of appointments between Reno, North Lake and South Lake Tahoe. I landed in South Lake Tahoe just in time for the peak of the fires. Most of those appointments needed to be rescheduled. I spent a lot of time in Truckee - a great little town. The lake was beautiful - as I drove by... Not much time to play.
Week four - I flew directly from Reno to Baltimore to spend some time with the family while working from my Baltimore office ;) I was able to catch up with some old friends and Colin joined me later in the week for Cousin Andy's wedding to Penny. Thanks to Andy for getting my honey home!
Week five: Home for a week to continue to figure out how this working from home thing is going to work out. We went to Stanley with the Costa's to do some Mountain Biking and Camping. Stanley is half way between McCall and Sun Valley and is amazingly beautiful. I have limited pictures and must go back for better ones!
Week six: Half a week in the office then back out to Reno for their annual summer FAM. Wow! I was totally spoiled . A FAM is a "FAMiliarization Tour" to see the area and experience the tourism features first hand. It was silly! From Free TX Hold'em, to Wine Tours, The AMAZING Reno Auto Museum and a catamaran tour off the crystal clear shores of North Lake Tahoe. I think I am still recovering from the copious amounts of food and drink consumed!
Week seven: I was home for 24 hours to switch out clothes and take care of some essential business. The Colin and I hit the road for Summit County. (See Wylie in front of the REAL Radiator Springs!) A weekend full of old friends, fun on the lake, biking and taking care of dog issues. We released Brodie's ashes on top of Hoosier Pass where he grew up playing. Then I think in some act of vengeance he struck Wylie with a horrible stomach issue which resulted in a very messy car... Colin dropped me off in Park City on his way back home and that brings us to week eight - I am in Park City opening my second ski market already. Good meetings and the contracting is infinitely easier than casinos!

I know you are all still trying to figure out exactly what I do... it is top secret and if you ever have a few hours I might just let you in on it;)
