Elaina Week 3 - Taking off the training wheels...
Grandma and Grandpa Gamble took their leave on Saturday morning, leaving Colin and I on our own to try out this parenting stuff on our own. We had a wonderful visit and all of the help that we received was such a huge help! Now that I am further along in my recovery I have been spending the week learning how to manage both house and baby.
Elaina is doing well. We just got back from our 3 week doctors visit. She is up to 7lbs 13oz - still has some weight to gain, but we are doing ok. She has been pretty fussy and a little stuffy, leaving Mommy & Daddy without much sleep.
Over all - a great week. Lots of learning and adjusting, but over all, we are truly appreciating our new lives as parenting!

OMG! Just look at how she has grown! Her eyes are so big and bright! We sure are missing you all!

Grandma and grandpa Gamble can't begin to tell you how big our hearts and tears are for the new love (Elaina) you have brought into our lives. Such joy!
We loved being there that week and feeling usefull. If only we were around the corner.
Remember, catch any sleep you can and ask for help when you need it. It is a priority for all new families!
