Long Time, No Blog

I have been getting complaints about how I have not kept up on my blog... I blew this off, as I thought to myself "come on, it really hasn't been that long!" Then I took a look at the blog and found that I had not posted since election day! OMG I am very sorry! I had no idea it had been that long - I have neglected you!

So in November, the entire family headed back to Baltimore for Thanksgiving and Elaina's Unitarian Dedication and Naming Ceremony. It was so wonderful to introduce her to the family. The next week, I left Colin and Elaina behind and ventured off to the Dominican Republic for my annual Sales meeting with BookIt.com. It was lovely, but very hard to leave my 4 month old behind for 5 days. Colin was a champ and would have been great except that he developed a terrible allergy to my mother's cats - Finally, we have found his kryptonite!

We headed back home and found the holidays to be upon us! We enjoyed Christmas Eve Dinner with our good friend's the Costa's and they gave Elaina and Sal (their baby boy - see below) matching ponies.

The Holidays came and went very quickly! I have been insanely busy at work as I have just inherited all of BookIt.com's Ski Product in the middle of the booking season - not the best timing. We have had several visitors. Mom Mom came out from Baltimore to brave her first Winter Mountain Visit. Our Friends Jody and Dean came through on a road trip (See Dean below pulling Elaina on the Chariot with Wylie and Tucker) and Grandma & Grandpa Gamble came up over MLK Weekend for some fun skiing and grandparenting. We even got to celebrate Maggie's 65th birthday with her!

So that brings us up to date...

Last week Elaina cut her first tooth! She is now eating solid foods (Rice Cereal and Squash - mmmm!) She is almost sitting up on her own and is rolling all over the place! We went on a hike together this weekend and I showed her my favorite hiking spot, Rapid River. She is just the best and we are having so much fun!

Thanks for the update and new pictures. I can't believe how much she has changed in 6 weeks! Have I mentioned that Long-Distance Grandparenting is not my favorite! Thank goodness for technology! Mom
